Julie Fry Publication Design is devoted to the design and production of books, reports, and related materials for publishers, museums, galleries, foundations, and academic institutions. Detailed typographic strategies and compelling, thoughtful composition reveal synergies between text and image. Integrated production management services ensure a systematic process and beautifully produced objects. Projects range from exhibition catalogues to poetry anthologies, from single-artist monographs to data-rich reports, all demonstrating fidelity to content and a keen understanding of commissioning entities’ objectives. 

Principal Julie Fry earned a BA in Architecture and History of Art at Yale College and an MFA in Graphic Design at Yale School of Art. Prior to launching her independent practice she was employed at prominent design studios (2x4 and Bruce Mau Design) and institutional design services offices (RISD Communications and the Office of the Yale University Printer). Previously practicing in Toronto, New Haven, and Providence, Julie is now based in New York City, where she brings more than twenty years of expertise in publication design to a roster of distinguished clients including:
