Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

After an extended hiatus, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum resumed publication of its annual report with a three-year volume in an entirely revamped format and design. Now on an annual schedule, the report profiles activities of the Museum’s five ‘cornerstone’ departments (historical collection, contemporary art, music, landscape, and education); documents significant Museum events; and lists donors and benefactors. 

The content development, design process, image selection, and page layout are refined with each subsequent volume. With primary distribution moving online, the printed publication transitioned from offset to digital production without a discernible reduction in quality. 

This publication has been honored with the first-place award for annual report design from the New England Museum Association.
